Quiver #1 - Process and Details

Description

This image shows a couple of the stages that I went through while making this project of mine. I made it as a gift for my dad since he was using a PVC pipe to hold his arrows.

It started out as a full cow shoulder, undyed and untreated. This is actually only about half of that same shoulder. (I plan to make a second quiver with the other half.)

This is the first time I have ever done something this complicated with leather including leather dying, leather cutting (I'd never cut something that thick and large before), and leather beveling (even if I did it the wrong way). It is also the first time I've ever made a quiver.

And yes, I did manage to finish it before Christmas. :D

I modified some Celtic designs and patterns that I found online.
Even so, I would prefer if you did not repeat this same collection of designs on your own quiver - at least modify them somewhat, as these have quite a bit of meaning for me and my dad.
